Aurum Biosciences Ltd is a Scottish based biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapies and diagnostics for stroke and spinal cord injury. They approached to create a strong and professional logo and brand which would be recognised within the medical and pharmaceutical markets and would help to attract interest from global investors. The company has since gone on to attract millions of dollars in investment to further their vital work.

The logo needed to be professional, clean, simple, contemporary, trusted, confident and positive. And it needed to project the companies ambitions. There were strong associations with gold (Aurum means gold) and with blue to represent the health setting and oxygen which is a key element in the developing therapy.

We developed a highly stylised representation of the therapy delivery mechanism to work as the key visual. The gold circle represents the targeted cell and the circles represent the delivery pathways where oxygen is sent to the stroke damaged areas of the brain.
