We were commissioned by Scottish Book Trust to design a set of book covers for a series which published an annual anthology of excerpts from new writers in Scotland. Instead of looking at generic images of pencils and typewriters we developed a theme inspired by growth. The first year featured seeds, the second was rain and the third was new green shoots. The images were all created in watercolour and lead pencil and then digitised.
